Parish Councillors & Clerk

The Parish Council is made up of a Chair plus ten other members; one of whom is designated Vice-Chair. All Councillors are members of Full Council and most choose to sit on several other Committees in order to be properly engaged with the communities they serve

In addition to Full Council which meets a minimum of four times a year there are several committees which carry out the day to day work of the Council.  These include the Planning committee, where Councillors and residents can comment on upcoming planning applications and the Community Assets committee which oversees the cemetery and the open spaces.  Other committees include Community Services, Personnel and Finance and Governance.  In addition there is the Climate Change Working Group, set up to enable the Parish to meet its commitment of net zero by 2030.

Normally Councillors are elected for a four year term, however, due to the elections being delayed until 2021 due to the pandemic, the current Council will only serve three years. The next election is due to be held in May 2024.
